RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] RFC - Radio communications for submersible dive operations
Hi,
Interestingly as a community we have all come to
understand that underwater communications are
important. Important enough that there are three
distinct projects to design a reasonable cost system.
The project leaders are:
Al Secor
David Bartsch
PSUBS Safety Committee
At this point I just wanted the teams to be aware who
is out there.
Perhaps when each are done we will have three seperate
designs available. Hopefully compatible. Or perhaps
the teams will synergize their ideas into one design.
Who knows at this time.
I do stress that they need to be all compatible. What
are the basic specs that need to be spelled out to
make sure they are all designed to be compatible?
Frequency? Side bands? What? Is there a standard
somewhere we can all use?
