RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] RFC - Radio communications for submersible dive operations

Brain,

Good luck on your Ham radio License!! I just passed my general and
extra exams, I PASSED! (N2RTS) Wow, a lot of work to get there. I
don't believe that most people would want to go to the trouble on
getting there amateur license.

I believe PSUBS RFC Standards should be easy for anyone to comply with.
And for the lucky PSUB's Members out there that are HAMS, we will just
have a different frequency to talk for fun.

Just my thoughts. I don't even have a working boat. It's still a pile
of parts... I'll talk from shore. Lol

Charlie

I'm in the process of getting a Ham radio licence, I would love to talk
to
Carsten, Peter Madsen, or any other sub madman via sub to sub
communication
! There are a lot of new options in the way of Ham radio. There are
internet stations now that can relay signals clear across the world.

I don't have a marine radio in my sub. I just use a CB type walkie
talkie,
but I should have one and so should every boat. I think it's a good
idea
and I'll get one installed in my sub for next season.
