Hi - I prefer Ceramcis seals !

O-Ringseals are fine for non rotating parts. Or for slow speed rotating parts like troughhulls for drop weights a deep rudders. 

A more and better englisch speaker can explain how a o-ring work..
High rotaing under pressure is not a good idear !

Look for ceramic pump seals.

The Euronaut can be operate in sonar modus by a crew 
of two and in diver exit modus by a crew of 3-4 people.
The last voyage in 30-40 years can be done alone.
