Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Deep Water Testing of Persistence
Emile,
Testing sgt. Pepper bolted to a sub the size of Euronaut is an option few
will ever have. With the size of Euronaut, sgt. Pepper will be like a fly
on the back of a turtle. I am sure you will get a good test and return
sgt. Pepper to the surface that way.
Surely, the most interesting test is going to be when you test Euronaut
though.

Dan,
I read your story with great attention. Great job! Once we have to test
sgt. Peppers when we want to dive deeper than 40 meter. well, It is useful
info for every future psubber.
There is a chanche we test Peppers by bolting it on the back of Euronaut
and then dive to 180 M.
.
I like your idea of a lift bag with a timer.
Other Idea: a timer and a water contcact switch on a solenoid to blow the
MBT with the normal air bottles. (and hope you or an expensive yacht ar
not right above)
I guess you could substitute the weight release line with a wire and have
something electrical to drop the weight. Entanglement wouldn't matter
but every system has it's possible problems.
Regards, Emile
