Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Softnolime (sp)

for the extra few dollars per pound, it's probably worth buying the sofnolime.. it's made specifically for CO2 scrubbing systems, changes colour when it needs replacing, and it probably removes *some* legal safety obligations from you.

Hi guys!

My questions:

Am I right in assuming that Softnolime, Sodasoft, Caustic Soda, Sodium Hydroxide and (NaOH) are all the same thing?

In other words, Can I buy a bag of NaOH from my friendly local chemical supplier (the legal one) and put those pellets in my life support system without having to worry about growing a third arm or something?

Anybody actualy used that stuff before? Or am I the first to go where no-one have cheaply gone before?

Thanks!
