I remember seeing part of a movie called "Submarine D-1" back in the 50s on TV, my next younger brother was stressing me by screwing up the TV so I didn't see it all nor have I been able yet to return the favor.
I also recall a movie about a WWII convoy that had a DR on a ship using a diathertmy machine to somehow attract a U-boat.
