RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] submersible design

Hi Carsten, I forgot to mention... with this design configuration,
Greg's 3 person sub rides on a 2 axle trailer no bigger than a K350, and
can be towed with a pickup. Unfortunately I don't know what his
displacement is, but he does launch like the rest of us. It's the very
short cylinder that makes that possible.

Hi Simon,

a 3-4 crew one atmosp. Sub has a displacement of 4-10 ts.
In general you need a Semi-trailer for that - at least a lorry with
crane. How many private person have space, time and money for a lorry, a
trailer, a sub, a crane ?

There is no problem with design a custom made sub. Better a good
desigend and well made custom made sub than a bad build K-boat from a
proven plan but build from a man without the right knowledge of the
backgrounds - right ?

best regards Carsten
