RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] WOW!!! Cool Idea "was" Sub form as a float ship normal

You can get o-ring kits from suppliers like www.mscdirect.com. Check out
item 09270026.

There's really not much to these kits, they're just a little box with a
selection of different o-ring cords, a little plastic jig (which I don't
find necessary), an ordinary razor, and super glue. If you know what
diameter cord you need, I'd recommend just buying that by the foot from
MSC, as you probably have everything else on hand already. All you do is
cut the cord with the razor, put a tiny amount of super glue on one of
the ends, and hold them together for 30 seconds. Voila, an o-ring.

For small o-rings I buy them ready made, but this is useful for
something large like a hatch o-ring.

Rgds,

Alec

I'm here for the submarines, so I've deleted most of the recent posts
unread.
It's better to increase the intelligence of your response instead of
name-calling.

Deep Flight One, and Wet Flight, will never dive again.

I'd like to know how to get or make a custom O-ring - anyone have advice
for me?
