 Hi Mike.

A full size static replica of the Hunley has been
built for demostration purposes and display at Hunley exibits.

I do not know if the replica is exact or not in all
respects. You might want to go ahead and contact the museum.

Couldn't hurt.

Kindest Regards,

Bill Akins.

This is an interesting question.  Does anyone know
whether the curators of the boat have had the design recreated?
If no one knows, I can contact the museum as a grad student in
history and maybe get a little bit of an edge in asking
  questions.
