        Ah, nice name, that . . .No, was exaggerating/joshing when I
characterized eBay as saying 'We know nothing' - Of course they have a
registration data base and will know what this character told them . .
.but, since he or she is a crook, by definition the information may not be
of the highest authenticity!  Further, they make it plain that they will
not give you any info at all - just 'we will investigate but we will not
communicate our findings to you' - that's what they say . . .which, on
balance, is not entirely an unreasonable position. If I wished to keep my
personal information confidential, I be P O'd if they gave it out to anyone
who hollered 'scam'. They do ask if you've  bid or paid - presumably, if
you bid and possibly stood to lose some dollars which they had guaranteed,
they may tap-dance a little faster on your behalf.
        Strange deal, that one.
