Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Spearfishing

Hi,

By the same token. PSUBers do not have an organized
large lobby. If the environmentalist get pissed off at
us I am sure our dependable polititians will be more
then happy to sacrifice us.

Frankly folks, why the heated discusstion? We are here
to discuss submarine related technology. If you are so
afraid, or angry, of a topic to not even be able to
discuss it, then why even be here? A breach loaded,
pneumatically operated, bow capped spear gun strikes
me as a clever idea. We can talk about it. Would I use
it? Well that is up to me, isn't it.

Of course the user of this spear gun should
investigate the legalities. However the reality is
that one sub out of the whole world is not going to
decimate any fish population. Should the "sport"
become popular I am sure our Governmental overseerers
will step in with appropiate regulations.

There are rivers here in Oregon that you can only fly
fish, with single point barbless hooks, on certain
days of the week in a set season. Belive me, the
overseers will step in with the rules.

Now that I weighed in. Can we drop the heat.

Regards,
Ray
