[PSUBS-MAILIST] 2004 Awards - Nominations are open

Hi All,

I sent this out on the 15th but with the problems
receiving PSUBS mails at work and broken archives I
have no idea if anyone saw this. More importantly I
have no record of responses. So I am resetting the
dates in the body below and you will have to
renominate:

"Archimedes" was proposed and seconded as the name for
the new award class. Find below the award classes we
will use for 2004 and the nominations to date.

I would like to have all nominations in by Thursday,
30 December 2004. Then the group will vote, yes I am
spreading democracy, by Friday, 06 January 2005. I
will tally and announce the winners during the second
week of 2005. Actual awards to go out by the end of
February.

The Kittredge Award:
For designing and building excellence in creating
a whole and functional personal submersible.

	- Peter Madsen, Denmark for Kraka

	- Anders Ljung, Sweden for Malen.

	- Dan H., United States for his K-350 Persistance.

The Busby Award:
For excellence in technical writing on personal
submersibles
	designs, operations and applications.

The Beach Award:
For non-technical writing that promotes personal
	submersibles to the general public.

The Link Award:
For contributions to oceanographic research using
	personal submersibles.

The Archimedes Award:
For innovative designing excellence of a specific
piece of
gear for use in personal submersibles that spreads
knowledge
	through the group .

Regards,
Ray
