Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Bilge pump thrusters

Hi, Dave . . .

That 36 amps seemed a little excessive to me so I checked the Rule web site
for specs.

As follows: the Rule 4000 gph (US gallons) is 15 amps at 12vdc.
The Rule 1100 gph (US gallons) is 3.3 amps @ 12vdc.

I'm not an electrical person so I don't know if these amperages are
"weldable" or not. I do know that the switches are sealed and guaranteed
for a certain number of cycles. The switch float chambers (if applicable)
would probably need compensation.

Regarding the bilge pump thrusters, it would be a good idea to install an
arming switch to the hot wire in case the pumps activated without permission
(should the contacts weld together).
