[PSUBS-MAILIST] Welding and riveting

For no apparent reason, I bought a Kitplanes magazine last
night.  I guess it was the list of new kits that attracted me.

Anyway, there is in the December issue two articles that might 
be useful or at least interesting.   I'm not sure how well they'd
translate to heavier metal (comments are hereby solicited).
One is one welding and the other is on riveting.

The welding one is the first of a series on welding.  The writer 
chose gas welding (oxy-acetylene) over arc, TIG and MIG.   He 
explains why.

The other article is about riveting.  I can't imagine that many
of will be riveting much, but it's interesting nonetheless.
