Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Boucher, RPM
Brian,
You brought me out of hibernation. My prop turns about 900 RPM, but
that is a guess. From the data that I used early on it seemed to be around
that speed. I use a 6.7HP electric motor turning a hydraulic pump. This
pump sends fluid through a control system and then outside to a hydraulic
motor. I use an extremely small amount of hydraulic fluid for a 6.7Hp
system. It is cooled outside in ambient water temperature. I also run
positive pressure on my hydraulics which prevents cavitation of the
hydraulic pump, about 45 PSI or so.

Hi, I have a question for Gary Boucher if he is listening! On your sub
"Vindicator" I was wondering what RPM your propeller motor runs at? I
can't remember if you go direct electric propeller or if you said that it
is a hydrolic motor? Thanks
