Alec,

Carsten built a check valve in the sgt. Peppers. He choose a large diameter
that allows a rapid ascent when overpressurised.
The flat seal leaks at low pressure so that will I replace by an O- ring.
there is no vacuum when you surface so there is no danger of that tragic
Soyuz accident.
