[PSUBS-MAILIST] Pressure relief valve?

I'm wanting to install a pressure relief valve to cover against a pressure buildup in the cabin popping off the dome upon surfacing. The idea would be to put this valve directly onto the ambient pressure line that leads to the depth meter, so as to use an existing through-hull. If pressure in the cabin exceeded ambient, it would bleed off to the outside. I bought a check valve that's a simple nylon ball and spring affair, good to 400 psi, but it doesn't seem to seal 100% effectively at low pressure. Does anyone have a recommendation?

thanks,

Alec
