Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] UPS Submersible

Since it seems like the water has all of a sudden become very shallow, I thought it might be a good time to bring up some thing that has bothered me.  Many members have voiced opinions on several subjects that are short and very much to the point.  So I just thought it might be a good time to point out one of my thoughts.  About a year and a half ago there was a significant ambition on this site to design the ?Ultimate Personal Submersible?. The UPS of the sea.  There are so many very talented and extremely intelligent people in this forum that I thought it was going to happen. I had no Internet service for a while and when I got back the project seemed to have sunk. What happened, could some one fill in the blanks?  And since I?ve donned my Kevlar vest and life jacket this after noon I would like to say that if there are no significant legal issues in pursuing the ?UPS?. Why can?t that project be brought back to the surface?  I mean, come on guy?s and lady, if you?re watching, the 350 K is some old technology and really isn?t that cool. I mean for Christ sake guys, Mr. K tried selling a ?sailing kit? so his subs could be used in the farmer?s pond next door. I?ll stop right there because this Kevlar vest is heavy and I haven?t taken the time to calculate the reserve buoyancy of the life vest, but I personally know of two or three of the K subs that are used to hold up mailboxes within ten minuets from me. I?ll send pictures if you need proof.
