Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] How much drop weight?

Hi Pierre

If you were to drop any of it how would you control your rate of accent? If you can up too fast you could rupture the hull if the relief valve were too small or failed. Not to mention what it could do to your lungs and ears. I think flooding and scuba is your better choice? Or if the water is too cold you could perhaps use 40# of lead shot and drop it slowly. But if you are hung up on something you could still rocket to the surface once you tear free. I suppose if you were near the bottom, you could use your drop weight as an anchor , and control or even stop your accent. I am in the same boat, so to speak, and plan for no drop weight.
