That would work to extend the time between oil changes. It would make
it necessary to open the motor rather than just drain out the oil though
(perhaps not a time savings). If it worked well enough to make the oil
last as long as the brushes it would be a great solution (that way you
just change the oil and brusehs simultaneously).
I'll visio to the pump/filter assembly and shoot a picture of the pump
and filter. The total volume/mass should be under half that of the motor.
