Berny and others,

I think they choose 42 volts as a new automotive standard because there is
more power available with smaller components and thinner wiring. I also
think they won't go hihger then 42 V because 42V + can be lethal in bad
circumstances. Welding equpment is for that reason als limited to 42 V.
All this considerations are the same for psubs.
