I think that if it is worth doing, it’s
worth making big enough for 2 people.
How lonely not to share the underwater scenery.
For my part, it is only the promise of
giving my wife a ride once my ambient sub is done, that lets me keep it in the
garage.
I also like the simplicity of the new 4 motor
sportsub approach. Then there is no thru-hull issues with the dive planes.
See http://members.shaw.ca/sportsub/G1.jpg
for an example.
Freeboard like the Lula
or S102 would also be nice: see http://www.marlinsubmarines.co.uk/s103lula.htm
for an example.
Large view ports and easy
to trailer too.
Just my thoughts-

Ok... I'll go first. I think it should
weigh les than 2000 pounds out of the water & hold 1 person. Is it a
lay down sub or a sit up and look around sub. And... will the hatch be
abel to open when it's in the water..IE " free board " or will it be
desinged to be lifted in and out from a boat. I think a budget of 25,000
would be a nice terget...
