There is no reason to even think of designing a PSUB with  commercial value.
PSUB is just what it means, your own personal "money pit."  It's expensive
enough to build a sub to near ABS standards with out paying for the many
inspections and testing required to certify it.  That and lawyers are what
drove Captain Kittredge out of the business.  Commercial subs are in one
class and P-Subs are in another class.  So far I have around ten thousand in
my K-350 and the only work I had to farm out was rolling the hull steel.
There is no cheep way to build a sub, let alone a sub for commercial
applications.
