Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Ballast Question
Thanks Alan, Alec, Dale and Carsten.
So, If I understood correctly: 2 big ballast tanks for surface use only.
Completely flooded while underwater. Small hard tanks for trim. Use
verticaly to minimise horizontal surface inside tank.
I do have a level 1 diver licence (33 feet max deep). But I haven't done
many dive. From what I remember, with the correct amount of lead on my belt,
I am buoyent at whatever depth. If I take I deep breath, I will start to
move up. If I let go of all the air in my lungs, I will go down. Is it the
same thing with a sub? If I use hard trim tanks and I trim at 20 feet, and
move to 60 feet under electric power, will I need to trim again?
Thanks again, you are all of great help to me!!!
Pierre
