[PSUBS-MAILIST] Bathyscaphe



It's my understanding of bathyscaphes that the essential elements are
that they are floated by a buoyant material other than air, and that, in
concept, they are merely balloons that submerge.

This may have ramifications in any philosophical analysis of Simon
Lake's work.   However, I'm more curious about how that might be
used by a psubber.  It seems to me that the idea of a permanently 
bouyant float might be useful to smooth out the shape of the hull.  

No, I've not taken this very far.
