Hello Dan and Pat:

 

Thanks for the helpful hints of mould making. Very interesting stuff. Pat you asked about a cheap source of wax and I personally have found "Carnauba" car wax works very well. I made moulds for my ROV's rear tail cone thruster fairing and used Carnauba wax with and without commercial mould release. I found it work just fine with the wax alone.
