Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Isn't 'Mini book review.' anymore--pressure test

however, the above concern of sealing
a big tank with *big* door is paramount. Consider that a 30" door of a HBOT
chamber pressurized to only 2 atmospheres has a cumulative pressure (add up
all those PSI's on the entire area) on the door of around 5 tons! which is
equivalent of a dive to only 33 feet of seawater.

".... seal it with a kiss ..." I´m yust singing :-))

BUT SEAL IT WITH K.I.S.S. ! Makes also sense.

To have a hatch closing from the inner side of the tank would be the best solution to avoid "hatch-blow-accidents". But this is only possible if you have a more or less rectange opening. ( cutted in the round top end and with a big frame for stiffening  - same construction like load hatches in a old ship) then it´s possible to bring in the "door" turn it and fix it only with some bolts.

Or have a look for very strong but flexible material. Make it in a half spherical shape and seal it with a flange ... may looks like a circus tent and will earn some extra money from people passing by  :-))
But I have some doubts to honestly advise this solution .... (gg)
