Well I saw the show and taped it. :)
While stuff like time spent in the pressure chamber was interesting it
took time away from the actual sub. And they droned on and on about
how dangerous it was, which I guess is a good thing. I forget that most
people don't know the basics.
What bummed me out was that after one marginally successful dive they were
done and packed it in. Now that they just got it operational it will
probably end up in a museum somewhere.
I would like to see dozens of dives to explore the design limitations and
work on improvements. I bet Drebbel spent years perfecting his design.
In the end put into a pressure chamber and test to destruction to see just
how capable the hull was.
