This was my first thought.  My feeling was that the page
was SAYING that the jet was just left on deck.  I was
amazed.  

It said the jet engine cavitated while the sub was underway
submerged.  I wonder how much added noise the A-4 made?

What maintenance problems?  I know a pilot who knows
some ex-Navy aviators.  I'll send this to him and 
report when he gets back to me.
