The main funktion are : Radio cable antenna holder...
You can see the isolating ceramic ports -
and the short cable which goes down is just 
the connection between the cable antenna and the 
long range radio. 

Go one picture "back" on that page and you will 
see the ceramic isolator ports 
(3 for each antenna both sides) much better. 

The net cutter device ist just a fix structure 
on the first 1-2 meter of the bow.

To lift the net-barrier is more a hope than a 
real function of this cables. 

CSSX will get simillar style cables - just as 
hand holders instead of a searail. You can see
the wire hold ports on the pictures of the sail 
and on the pictures with the bollards. 
This wires will be made from stainless steel cables
and are allready here in my basement awaiting 
monting in some years .. 
 
During bad weather it is possible to connect a lifebelt
rope to this cable to prevent "man over board".
