Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] World's Smallest Submarine?
P.S.S: But beyond setting essentially useless World records: there's are
practical reasons why small submarine R&D makes sense.
One problem everyone has with dry subs is that most of them are bulky,
unwieldy, hard to transport, launch, and recover, etc.
A really small submarine that could do legitimate work in, say, salvage
location and recovery, U/W photography, and that sort of thing; while being
easy for the average boatowner to deal with, would be nice to have.
A small sub seems relatively economical to build, and a lot of fun to
operate, too. A great project for us shadetree sub builders!
