Hi Herve!

I always saw this as a military project: the ultimate SEAL or RECON delivery
vehicle. Something for James Bond, maybe. Built of composites, the
airframe could employ radar-invisible STEALTH characteristics; and, engine
exhaust cooling / scavening technologies could reduce infra-red heat
signatures. Underwater, a composite pressure hull would be strong enough
for shallow dives and exhibit a relatively low MAD signature, as well.

It is a shame that covert technologies might also be used for unscrupulous
purposes, but that is not what I had in mind when I was working on this
project.

As far as "how to stop it" is concerned: I haven't thought much about that;
but I'd be willing to bet our boys have something that would do the job.

At this point, a flying submarine is far beyond my means, and I'm only
participating here in the spirit of theoretical discussion for the fun of
it.

Very best regards,

Pat
