Hi Sean! I've ordered the Scotchcast 2131B resin from Digikey, and it looks
like you can order the primer from them too. It's a bit expensive though
(~$220 per can), and I'm not sure how much you'll need it... At Saildrone
we just use the 2131B for potting cables, I don't think we use any primer,
and it ends up being really tough stuff. But as Dan said, cleaning with
acetone before potting would probably be good.
The 2131B is kind of annoying since it comes in pouches of 7.5oz, and you
can't really save it after you've cut open the pouch. So it's best to line
up all your casts and do them all at once if you have a few to do.
