Hull Materials

Speaking of steel tanks and sub hulls, what sorts of ready-made things have
other homebuilders used besides old propane tanks? What about other
materials besides steel?
Has anyone thought of building a dry wetsub? I mean a sub that would be at
ambient pressure not 1ata.
C'mon, how about some ideas guys.
