    I agree.  I didn't mean to downgrade the use of poly for such
applications.  You should see what a high energy bullet does to Acrylic!!
Impact resistance for Lexan is very good and it would be great as a
barrier.  I do not know what the index of refraction is for polycarbonates
but perhaps it is closer to that of water than acrylic.  This would mean
that a curved piece would perhaps be less bending of light rays under water
and thus less visible with less distortion.
