Re: How fast is a knot, anyway



	Last time I checked, a nautical mile is defined as the distance
corresponding to a minute of longitude at the equator, as previously
mentioned. It is convenient for navigation both by sea or air. It would
therefor be longer than a statue mile, corresponding to something like six
kilofeet.
	Just a little telecommunications joke there for all the network
administrators in the audience. :)
