    If your copy is only 1 7/8 inches thick, someone must have been sitting
on it!  I totally agree in regard to Stachiw's window book.  It is not easy
reading for me, in that it has a lot of mechanical engineering concepts to
which I am not completely familiar with.  However, it would seem from
reading the book that he has stated a 1-2-3 approach to the design and
fabrication of windows where the heavier theoretical factors have been
employed.  Take the flat plate window for example; he suggests a seat
design, gasket design material and thickness, tolerance, heat treatment
times and temps, etc., even an expected life in years and safety factor to
be used.  It could be what every psubber needs for Christmas. (Last Year).
