Re: Concrete subs?




Yes I've seen this also. a russian sub if I remember well.
Well, It works for ships, why not for subs?
But I really wonder what kind of concrete it is.

Anyway that could be an easy way to test a shape for a hull:
molds and concrete are easy to make (I mean it's easier to
make a concrete sphere than an iron one).
And it could ( at least better than a fiberglass test-hull) have the right 
density for the tests...
Make all in concrete, test behavior in shallow waters, then if it's OK
you can go for the real thing.
