Pressure compensated thrusters?

Where can I find information about pressure compensation techniques for thrusters?
Did anybody oil-filled (or pressure-compensated) a trolling motor?

I would also like to know about the most widely used techniques for sealing actuators and switches,
I mean mechanic switches instead of reeds.

- About the official organization, is this an internal affair for a couple of guys or should it
involve a much wider audience? Which are the purposes of an official organization of p-sub amateurs?
