Question

Does anyone have any information on anyone ever using a virtual reality
hood or glasses to display 3-D sonar information from a scanning sonar
array?  I am thinking of attempting this or perhaps a new angle on the idea
as a dissertation topic for my doctorate.  It just seems like a natural
extension of the data, but never seen it before.  I would like to also
equip The Vindicator with such a sonar to negociate the lakes around here
that are far less than clear.
