Re: Business Cards

Scott,

You are hired!

Ok people ideas? I was thinking of (ascii drawing alert):

             ------------------------------------
             | | |
             | PSUBS graphic| |
             | | PSUBS |
             | | |
             |--------------- |
             | Dedicated to the pursute of |
             | Personal SUBmersibleS |
             | |
             | E-mail: info@psubs.org |
             | Web site: personal_submersibles |
             | @psubs.org |
             ------------------------------------

If we can get colors we should match that of the web site for consistancy. The
"PSUBS" in the upper right corner should be enlarged to fill the space and use
the same font as on the web site.

The "PSUBS graphic" should be the same one from the web site, again for
consistancy. However if the group wants to change that graphic then now is
probably a good time. My point is that we should be consistant between the
site and the cards.

The slogan is negotable and well as any of the printed text. Maybe the capital
letters in the slogan "Personal SUBmersibleS" should be a different font,
color, or underlined to highlight them? Or just leave them as caps?

Is the info@psubs.org address active. I think it is but I am not sure. If it
is active then we should look at the information and see if it is what we
want.

Should we put the list server group address on the card? I personally don't
think so. If they want to contact the group at large then I would prefer they
signup for the listserver alias. In that way everyone sees the questions and
they are on the alias to receive the answers. As root@psubs.org I can testify
it's a bother relaying mail to and from the group. Instructions to join the
listserver alias should be at the info site.

We should start with a box of 500. Break them into groups of 50 and ship them
at cost plus postage to whoever wants them. One of the facets of this group
is that I want to stay non-profit based. So no price gouging or large markups
for handling.

Comments?

Regards,
Ray
