Hi All,

Looks like the Altimaster II Galaxy is different to the normal one.  Ive turned it down anyway as im not sure.

That WS-108c looks good as a backup.  And at that price it doesnt really matter.  I cant seem to get one in the UK and the amazon.com site wont sent to Europe.  Would anyone mind volunteering if i get it sent to them, they could forward it onto me?  I'll refund postage of course.  Unless anyone can find a link to a European supplier but i cant find one.

Many thanks

James

Greg,  Thanks much; I ordered a WS-108C digital altimeter.  I read the reviews first.  Apparently several of the people didn't understand that altimeters change their reading when the barometric pressure changes over time.

Scott, bring yours with you when you come to my house.  We can synchronize them here before we leave and see if they still match when we get to Muskegon.

Cheers,

Jim

That WS-108C is sweet. does it work well or is it kind of junky? Think I'll pick one up and at least try it for the price.

Thanks,

Jim,

Not sure why, but sometimes links that you copy and paste just don’t work. Anyway, the model # is :  WS-108C

It’s cheap, has large numbers, is accurate to 3ft increments and costs less than $30.
