Hi Guys,
Have been coming across these Quad copters (or
Quadcopters) lately.
Some of these 4 motored RC helicopters are
controlled by I phones. Others are a bit more
complex with 3 axis gyroscopes, 3 axis acceleration
sensors & cameras mounted on them.
Possibly the gyroscopic control
system could be adapted to control the pitch, roll & depth of
a sub, if the sub had 4 vertical thrusters.
I thought of the "James Bond" car / submarine that
Vance had some involvement with. He said it had to be towed by
wire
because it's stability was so bad. This would have
been an ideal candidate.
The controller on its own sells for
$30-
Haven't given this a great deal of thought but am
throwing the idea out there.
