Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Corps of Engineers shut down submersibles

Hi guys,

Not sure how the system works there but here you first need a bill to be tabled three times at parliament before becoming a statute law by way of a vote.

On the minor end of things local councils can create by-laws but it still needs a sitting of the mayor and the councillor to put the matter to a vote.

So perhaps this Colonel is using the colour of the law as opposed to the spirit of the law. In other words, perhaps there is no law that is can be specifically applied in this instance and he is bluffing.

Anyone know a lawyer, happy to put something in the hat to get a professional opinion.

Cheers,

Lawrie
