Thanks James,Alan,Brian and Alec
My CT is attached .Thanks for the foto Alec ,I
think I will make a simular tool and attach my deburring tool to the end.And if
that does not work several hundred hours of grinding does not sound so bad
compared to the thousands past .James I allso heard of a tool simular to a line
boring tool ,but with a facing tool never seen one though.
ps Alan I think you should move to SA that Volcano
you are staying on does not seem very stable .Our hearts go out to the people in
Christchurch.

Subject: RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] CT ring
surface not true.
Key question... is the CT already welded onto the
hull? If no, you need to find someone with a really big lathe. It yes,
well... big job I'm afraid! I think Greg Cottrell told me he'd
corrected this situation with nothing but an angle grinder, flap
wheels, and several hundred hours of patience. I had the same issue
with a penetrator bulkhead seat, and I "machined" it by making
a custom tool. I took a cutting tool off my lathe and put it
on an adjustable radius arm, which had a base that jammed into the
opening. Then I just went around and around by hand. Got some good
blisters, but it did the job. That was for a little part that's only
7" in diameter, but perhaps you could make its big cousin.
Motorizing it would be a really good idea.

Hi All
I need Idea's to get my ct ring surface to mate
with my hatch ring as it has warped by + - 2mm in the
welding
process.
Thanks Glen
