[PSUBS-MAILIST] acrylic for viewports

Hi,
       I just contacted my connection here in California about acrylic
viewports.  Unfortunately the guy I talked to a number of years ago and I
made a trip down to his shop, who was recommended to me personally by Jerry
Stachiew, died.  He was a really nice guy and not very old.  Anyway the shop
is still running and a good friend of his of 30 years is now running the
shop and was very helpful to me.  He directed me to RPT (Renolds polimer T)
in Grand Rapids CO for purchasing the raw material.  He indicated to me that
to get certified pvho acrylic is a major magnitude of extra cost.  Is it
possible to get something nearly comparable but not certified?
