RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Norway diving

Vance , Jens and Helge,

Ja , dykke med ei sma u-bat i fint i Norge!

It is one of the reasons that me and my family want to emigrate from the Netherlands to Norway.  The other reason it that it is sooo dense populated here..

Are there any restrictive regulations about psubs there or do you have other info.??

Groet, Emile

As you could read, I started to learn Norwegian

Helge,

We spent a lot of time between Dusavik and Stavanger and up to Bergen. I did all my original pilot's training up there, for instance, including some really good diving out near Haugesand near the old whaling anchorages. If you ever get to the Haugesand museum, note the old chains and anchors used for the border of the parking lot. We salvaged and donated all that one winter. Even found some extensive deep-water coral beds that the research group from the Bergen aquarium didn't know anything about. We also did ABS proof-testing on PC-8 out there, 260 meters of water within a stone's throw of town up near Bergen. A psub up there would be great fun. Lots of really interesting diving very close to shore. Protected water. Great history. And then there were the girls in Stavanger. And Bergen. But that's another story.

Vance

Hi Emile

I dont have a defined scope just yet. I am mainly researching the tecnologies available and what kind of options there are.

But a to be able to dive 200m would be great. A small two man sub will probably be what I can afford. ;)
