I'll go with Greg and Dan's advice on this one. Real experience is hard to
argue with and these guys know what they're talking about.
On the 304 stainless VBT, maybe a good internal coating would be worth the
extra time spent.
Factory end caps is the right way to go.
For sure, any re-fit work must be done with "first class" materials and
workmanship. Anything less is not only "cost ineffective" but also
dangerous.
I still like the idea Greg mentioned a while back on using the "Lite"
propane tanks for VBT's. I seem to recall they were priced at about $130 each or
so.
