RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Facebook? [formerly web forum]

Hi Benny,
Facebook looks fine but one thing you wont get is comments on your design
like the ends you show in your drawings do not look correct. Cant see if you
are using dished ends or what. You should be using 2:1 semi elliptical heads
or hemispherical ends. What you appear to have drawn at the top there does
not stack up. Use P-subs design tools. Hope that helps, regards, Hugh.

Both are excellent points. Luke is right about getting the younger
generation's attention in a media they respond to but Jon is also right
about access and the 'aww look at the kitty' kind of distractions that will
detract from the page.

I have a FB page chronicling the development of my own sub (not building
yet) which includes schematic photos, links to web pages like PSubs.org and
other items like that radial thruster that was posted earlier.

To me, FB is very easy to manage, organize and run. I receive a lot of the
incoming communications in a simple and understandable way. There's no
digging through tabs and windows to find things. My favorite thing is the
'wall' format which allows a running history of posts and activity to be
shown.

this is my FB page, just so you can get an idea of what I've done with it.
