Vance, Glen. Yes, I'm sure it's pricey and I'll get hold of some
distributors or their web sites and see what kind of $ we're talking about.
For sure a reel is cheaper than a piece.
I was looking at the 3/8 inch and 5/16 inch because it's what matched my
subs expected weight but even the 1/4 inch would probably do. My thought here is
it's not enough to pull up just the sub ( which is lighter in water ) but maybe
we have to break suction in mud or some other such problem adding to the strain.
The 3/8 inch stuff will pull 12,800 pounds. ( which would probably SINK the
support boat !!! )
